Introduction

This is one of the cases where a reprint edition acquired a life of its own after the original magazine moved on. The last issue of the US magazine Science Fiction (SFN) appeared in September 1941, after which it was combined with Future Fiction (FUT) and continued with the Future name more prominent, though the name Science Fiction reappeared for two issues in 1943. Meanwhile, the name Science Fiction was carried on for six issues in this Candian reprint edition, which ran from October 1941 to June 1942. The stories were drawn mainly from SFN and FUT but there were a few from other sources including, bizarrely, one from Spicy Adventure Stories (according to SFFWF).

The covers, however, were all original and they were certainly colourful and striking, if of no great artistic merit.
